Replace Lists and Facts with Icons and Stories
Let’s be honest; most presentations are overflowing with text, bullet points, facts and Excel spreadsheets. This leaves little room for visual content. Using visuals is a truly engaging and memorable way to present your information. Graphics and images convey your story, emotions and brand so much more effectively than just plain text.
Icons (small pictograms) are quickly becoming a presentation trend. They are a great way to add variety to your slides, structure your text and set visual anchors. They create polished slides that focus your audience’s attention.
Example: Slide with Key Figures
Every company presentation includes key figures that are used to inform and assure both customers and stakeholders. Some popular company key figures are:
- number of employees
- number of customers/clients
- number of locations
- awards and distinctions
- referral rates
There are, of course, many other key figures you can use to distinguish your company from other providers. When structuring your slides, choose just a few key figures you want to highlight and which you can refer back to should any questions or discussion arise.
- Use a larger font in bold to emphasize headlines and numbers.
- Add a brief description in a smaller font size below (no more than one sentence).
- Use icons that visually support your message.
